This month we excepted a project that seemed very straight forward. As we started to build it we found that it wasn’t simple. Like most items being built for the first time, one can expect some trial and error. For me trying to find hardware that can handle the stress of the project became a timely and very expensive process. We tried 3 different times, with different types of hardware and had to rebuild some sections. This project was also the first time we were recalled to fix our mistakes. We brushed off our pride, stood tall, and did what was necessary to make it right. Some would see this as a failure. At first I would have agreed, and very frustrating. As I am re-evaluating this experience, I see it as a way to grow stronger and develop skills needed to become a craftsman. Life’s lesson LoL.
